After a quick break last week, we're back with the third and final picture of the ER-iKaa versus the Hypnoraptor trilogy by Zorro! Actually much in line with the second picture of the series, picture three was ALSO finished in a very quick fashion following the previous entry. This time, there was a five day gap in between parts two and three. It just so happened the Erika in Hypnoland picture happened to release in between parts two and three of this series, thus we ended up breaking the chain.
Regardless though, I've already spoken before as to how this series came to be in the first image... but back then I never thought it'd be a series. Something I also mentioned in the second post. So needless to say, I was once again blindsided by a THIRD entry in the franchise! Continuing the story, it seems that the hypnotized version of myself has been used as a honey trap of sorts. Luring out the suspecting and unseen employees at this unnamed park of dinosaurs to a very hungry raptor in the background.
The idea and jokes were all written by Zorro, so I take no credit for his amusing sense of humor here! Same goes for the underwear design as well. It seems that underneath that whole business exterior suit I wore, I have some alluring taste in underwear! Also once again continuing the trend I made note of in the previous picture, it seems my speech patterns were completely altered to act very robotic, or perhaps... inhuman. Once again solidifying the thought that perhaps the Hypnoraptor itself is injecting its will or consciousness into me. As if I'd been hypnotized to be it's spokesperson and also it's lure.
I would like to take note of at least two errors in this picture however. Unfortunately it seems Zorro has forgotten my navel piercing in this picture. Funnily enough, this was the first time he had drawn my bare stomach in all three pictures, so missing that detail isn't too big a deal. There was also a mistake in the dialogue as well, specifically with the line "... where there certainly isn't any superior predator hiding and waiting." in the upper right bubble. The "isn't" should definitely be replaced with "aren't" in that case. Zorro is not a native English speaker though, so once again, it's a very excusable error. Both mistakes in fact aren't a problem whatsoever, but I felt the need to take note of them.
Finally of course, I can't end this blog post without giving a special shout out to the final line of the series. You can't NOT have a Jurassic Park reference, specifically one with a raptor, and not have the classic "Clever girl!" line in it. Fantastic job working that into the overall story of the series seamlessly Zorro. And I'd once again like to thank Zorro for going super above and beyond my expectations when he said he would be interested in drawing me. Taking the one picture and turning into a three part series! In the end though, it really does make me wonder what happened to those fellow employees though. Did they fall prey to the Hypnoraptor perhaps...? I suppose we may never know...
