There have been a few times on this Erika art adventure now, where people have given me art out of the kindness of their hearts once getting to know me. I'm always appreciative of that! But this is actually a first amongst even those gifts. This picture marks the first time someone who I have previously never interacted with before drew something for me!
Around the time the previous picture by nettimato was posted, an up and coming hypno artist named Penken also took notice of me. In fact, in the Deviant Art upload of the previous nettimato picture, Penken commented saying "Seems like everyone is drawing Erika, I wonder how long until I'm next." It definitely made me happy that some people were actually starting to notice me! Immediately after noticing the comment I replied, saying that if he was interested I would be down!
We exchanged Skype info and talked it over, then very quickly this picture came to be! As far as the composition and idea goes, it was entirely Penken's idea. I don't think I really had much to suggest in terms of this picture, which is why the premise of disembodied tentacles and a floating hypno happy face are very unique in terms of Erika related pictures! Not to say they are bad though, I'm actually quite a fan for sure! The dark lines underneath the eyes also give off a very tired look to Erika, and I think the whole tired/sleep deprived look is a very underrated fetish!
There isn't much else to say about this picture, but I can say that this random meeting did spark a friendship between Penken and I which actually still persists to this day! He's an awesome dude who makes great hypno based art work for sure. I think it's pretty cool how I've met some great friends along the way, whom I still know even now. Sometimes the hypnosis community can be pretty darn cool.
