Today on HYP-NEWS.

Coming straight from the very first commission ever, we return back to the world of requests! After all, that first commission I got was mostly a fluke in the first place and so I wasn't too comfortable about starting the commission train JUST yet. This picture has a pretty simple back story, and yet there is actually a lot more to this picture than you might think.

So to begin with, I just happened across the artist's page on Deviant Art as per usual. They had a journal entry up asking for suggestions on female characters and hypnotic methods to draw. I immediately hopped on board and suggested drawing myself hypnotized by a giant hypno screen. As for why I chose that particular method, well it was the first thing that came to mind really. I just wanted to see if the artist would pick me, and so I just quickly came up with something on the spot.

Luckily, I caught the eye of the artist. Supposedly I had "the most interesting suggestion so far" and to my surprise, the artist immediately got to work on the suggestion and then finished it on the same day. I definitely did not expect it to go by that fast! But yes that is how this picture came to be. The stripping was actually something that was not in my original suggestion, but hypnotic stripping is always a plus in my books! And the title of this post is also lifted from the title the artist gave this drawing. So I suppose that means I've found myself watching some HYPNOTIC NEWS PROGRAM. Never trust those pesky news programs. You never know when they'll mess with your brain!

Finally to elaborate on what I said earlier about there being more to the picture than you think... Well I said that because it was around this time where Hypnohub started accepting OC character tags. Some of you may not know this bur originally Hypnohub did NOT allow a character tag if the character was an original creation. Imagine how different the site would be today if they kept that rule active...

But yes, with that rule no longer in place, I began tagging the previously uploading pictures of myself with my own tag. I was also able to link my tag to this artist in particular to use as a drawing reference for this drawing. It was around this time where I thought to myself... "It'd be cool if I could get more pictures amassed here, now that there's a way to organize them." And that thought would soon blow up in the coning months!

As a bonus, I actually managed to track down the original journal post by the artist where I gave my very simple suggestion. You can view that journal entry here.
