Hey all! So you know how at the end of each blog post I credit the artist and requester/commissioner? Crediting the artist, of course goes without saying. However why credit the requester/commissioner? All of them so far have been either no one, because it was a gift from the artist to me, or it was something I personally asked for. Well for those of you asking that really weird and random question I just came up with to pad the length of this blog post, it's pictures like these that make me do it!
You see, sometimes there are some incredibly kind people out there who request or commission a piece of art featuring me, without me really knowing intended as a gift! And I always have to give credit where credit is due! And this picture marks the first time someone did so! Specifically this picture was commissioned by my friend Erogmircs and the piece itself is by geekgirl8. Erogmircs being my friend who pays for most of commissions through Paypal, and I pay him back in person. While geekgirl8 being a fantastic hypnosis artist, most known for her lovely OC Kenny the Naga.
For almost all my blog posts, I've gone through as much history and lore as I could remember. Telling you all how each piece came to be, and any other thoughts around them. However for pictures that were gifted to me... Well I can't really talk exactly about how they came to be, since I wasn't really part of the development process. So for these pictures I'll speak as best as I can about what I know, and then also talk about my opinions of the picture.
So for this picture... Well I had already mentioned to my friend Erogmircs about my newly acquired goal of reaching 100 tagged pictures on Hypno Hub. He is a good friend of mine whom I've known since long before my days on the internet. I don't really know what he initially thought of said goal, but I suppose he was interested in helping me! See around this time, I think geekgirl8 was running emergency $20 head shot commissions to help out a friend. Erogmircs ended up taking notice of that and decided to commission a picture of me to not only help out me goal, but to help out geekgirl8 whom he is a fan of.
As for my thoughts? Well I like this picture a lot! To this date, this is the only picture of myself drawn by geekgirl8 and even though it's almost seven years old at this point, you can definitely see her unique style she brings. One of the most important things to me in a hypnosis is picture are the eyes/expression. And I'd say this picture nails both! We got the classic Kaa eyes, paired with a kind of lazy eyed look with a wobbly smile, as if to show that I'm really zonked out of it and just kind of going along with whatever the hypnotist is saying. The bare shoulders also imply nudity which is of course, always ok in books!
