This is a commission of mine from the artist "GREAT-DUDE" from Deviant Art! I don't have a quite a long story for this one unfortunately, as it was a typical cut and dry commissioning experience. I found the artist through one picture uploaded to Hypno Hub and decided to check out their Deviant Art page, as their art style interested me. Then I saw they were open for commissions and had a fairly reasonable price at that. So of course I figured I'd get on that, since I was still on the commission train!
Though the artist themselves aren't inherently a hypnosis artist, they still accepted the commission and delivered it in a timely and effective manner! I asked for myself being hypnotized by a pocket watch and slowly undressing. The artist went with a pretty unique expression for a hypnosis based picture though. Usually, you'd expect to see a blank face, or a pleasured face. However as you can see, the artist went for a more confused face. Showing that Erika doesn't even realize what's happening to her. Expressions are a very important part of hypnosis pictures in my opinion, and so this expression tells a whole different kind of story from the usual.
It's almost as if saying "Wait, what are you trying to do here? It's just a pendulum... I don't get it." without actually realizing that Erika is already being hypnotized! The one minor complaint I have though, is I'm not a fan of mixing Kaa eyes with pendulums. Unless the pendulum itself is some magic Kaa orb attached to a string, I don't think that set of eyes matches with the induction. I'd prefer empty eyes or something. Those feel more appropriate to the induction! Regardless though, I'd say the picture turned out great and there were no issues with the commission process or delivery.
As a bonus note, the title of this blog entry comes from the description the artist wrote about it on their Deviant Art page. It said: "ErikaHypnitized, beware the clocks, all are evil !!" and I thought that was funny.
