Continuing off of the debut of Hypno Team, it seems we already have a movie in the works! Or as the creator Zko put it: "NO ONE CARES ABOUT COMIC BOOKS ANYMORE! Gritty superhero movie reboots is where the money's at." Which is actually very true, as far as North American audiences go. And with that being said, here we have the next (and slightly late) edition to the Erika blog, the poster for: Hypno Team Revelations.
As stated, this was a joke poster made Zko immediately after seeing the Hypno Team comic book made by Psi previously. I mentioned in that post that the artists who had their characters featured in it, were all inspired to make their own kind of pictures related to that comic. This one being Zko's where he made a meme poster for a movie adaptation. I was not involved at all with this picture, so I'm not quite sure where he got the idea for this, but I'd just assume it was a spur of the moment fun idea.
Despite it being a poster for a movie about the Hypno Team, only Hypno-tan is hypnotized in here. Though we do have an ominous shadow of Saalim in the background. Perhaps he's the main villain of Revelations? Who's to really say! We also have a dark and rainy atmosphere, which signifies the edginess of the movie. Apparently Kassidy become a cyborg at some point, and Crystal unlocked Geass at some point. As for me, I'm standing there in the rain, looking downtrodden. Perhaps something bad happened to me? So many questions... I guess we will have to watch the movie to find out!
Another little bonus by the creator are the credits at the bottom of the screen. All the people mentioned there are/were common posters on Hypno Hub back in the day, so it was pretty cool seeing all those people shouted out. Not too much to comment on with this picture, but rather, I think the fact that this exists is pretty funny by itself. I'd totally go and see this if it existed! ... Though I suppose I'd be already privy to it, since I starred in it. UNLESS I WAS HYPNOTIZED TO FORGET STARRING IN A MOVIE!? The plot thickens...
