Hello again! We're back this week with the current flavor pairing, myself and vampire lolis! To be exact, it is once again Rachel Alucard from Blazblue, and Shalltear Bloodfallen from Overlord. This time however, it is drawn by the ever awesome Keeper of Pots! Not only that, but this time it's something that I personally commissioned. So I should at least have some interesting tidbits of information to say on it!
That being said, there isn't really a fancy story as to how or why this commission came
to be. Keeper just had a queue for commissions at
the time, and it happened to be my turn. Since this pairing was the
flavor at the time, naturally it's what the subject of the commission
would be!
However, since this is a picture by Keeper of Pots who I am in contact with, I did manage to get his quote on the picture. So let's see what he has to say before we get into the nitty gritty of it.

"I don’t recall a lot of the specifics regarding this piece - I’m fairly sure it was a commission during the time Erika was still very much into this particular vampire pairing. I recall it took me a little while to get you to look decent enough, Erika… but looking back at it, I’m still not 100% satisfied with how you came out. There are some little perspective pet peeves like the way the head is angled, and the breasts.
The rest of the piece works pretty good though, I’d say! I love how Rachel and Shalltear came out, particularly their expressions and I have a fondness for discarded clothing being visible in the picture. I added some flourishes to the image that wasn’t specified in the commission to liven things up a bit as well, like the tea kettle, bed and Rachel’s little imp bat.
I also love the “trope” (or whatever you’d call it) of a sub being subjugated by pleasure, so this was all in all a pretty fun one, despite some snafus regarding the Erika design."

It's funny though, because to me, I have a different memory of how this commission went. This commission in particular sticks out to me because of how many changes and slight revisions it went through. Keeper of Pots is a very patient man, but even he was getting tired of the revisions it went though. If I recall, he was even saying that we physically could not do anymore changes to a certain part of the picture. This is because at the time, Keeper of Pots drew pictures traditionally at first, and the paper was being frayed from too many erasure marks.
And even after all that, there are actually a few things on this picture that still stand out to me that I'd like changed, not even counting Keeper's mention of the off model version of myself! For one, Shalltear's discarded shoes aren't right, but it's not too big a deal. Also, we didn't have a room reference in mind. I just kind of left it at: "A bedroom in Rachel's mansion" and we ended up with a dungeon looking area. (Funnily enough, a few years later and we'd actually see what Rachel's room looks like. Oops.) And as Keeper said, he did fill out the room with the random objects in there, but the pillar in the background felt weird to me, since that's just a structurally weird place to have a pillar.
Despite that though, I still do look back on this picture very fondly, and it's up there on one of my favorite vampire loli drawings of the time! Since I was in creative control here, I don't know how I couldn't end up loving a picture catered to my kinks as well as it being drawn by one of my favorite artists of all time! So despite some hiccups, I'd say that I'm still very satisfied with this picture even years later. Maybe one of these days I should look into this pairing again... it's been awhile after all! But until then, you'll still be seeing these characters quite a bit in the upcoming entries.
