A Gentle Wrap.

Here he is! The man, the myth, the legend... It's the first picture of me drawn by the one and only, Keeper of Pots! For those of you who don't know (or didn't read the introductory post) Keeper of Pots is a fantastic artist and a very close friend of mine. Without him this blog wouldn't even exist! And we can credit the blog background, header image, and even the blog avatar to him as well. Not to mention helping me working out the kinks and getting everything on here going.

But before all that fun stuff, back in the year 2015 he was a stranger and we had only just recently met in January of that year. In particular, I saw a particularly striking image from him that was posted on the Hub. And as you might already know, I was looking for artists to commission more Erika related content. And so I just had a shot in the dark and sent him a message on the Hub to see if he was open for commissions... and luckily he was! He said he would be glad to work on my idea whenever he finished what he was currently working on.

In the mean time however, I was able to strike up a conversation with Keeper. We chatted in the DMs on the Hub for a bit before eventually transitioning onto Skype. All the cool kids used Skype back then you see. After getting to be more on friendly terms with Keeper, one day he just up and surprised me with this drawing out of nowhere. I had absolutely no expectation of this, since as far as I was concerned, I was just waiting for my turn on the commission list... and in the mean time I just happened to become friends with the artist who I was commissioning.

Now as you can already tell, I'm still very good friends with Keeper even to this day (in fact I'm literally chatting with him as I write this post) and so, I asked him for his input on this picture. Unfortunately it seems he doesn't quite remember why he made this picture for me in the first place. The best we got was this quote: "But if I know me right, I think I was curious as to what you'd look like in my style. But I can't say that for sure." But you know, that's good enough for me!

As far as the picture goes, well I'd say it's great! Keeper of Pots always has a great understanding of how important expressions are when it comes to hypnosis pictures. He really nailed the whole fascinated or enchanted look. The body language is spot on as well showing Erika rigid with attention. Though I do wonder about the text kind of clashing with how Erika is standing at attention... still though, a fantastic and cute piece and one of my favorites of the early batch of Erika pictures even if it was a sketch!

Also as a quick note I wanted to thank Keeper for also providing the title for this picture, because everyone who reads this blog will know that I'm awful with titles.
