New Headphones.

Greetings again! We're back this week with not only a new picture, but also the debut of a new artist for this blog. This picture was done by Juuzou or Juu for short, and it features myself being hypnotized by hypnotic headphones given to me by Juu's OC Izayoi. Or maybe they are normal headphones and it's just playing hypnotic audio...? Well regardless, the point still stands!

For this picture, I have only the bare minimum in terms of context and backstory. From my understanding, Juu was working on improving his art skills at the time, and decided to draw me as a fun little sketch. Around this time, my goal of reaching one hundred tags on the Hub was coming along fairly well, and I had gained some notoriety because of it. I suppose that's how Juu managed to learn about me, and assist me in my goal! By the way, for those who may have lost track this picture is around the 70th or so picture uploaded to the Hub. So at this point, we were getting pretty close to said goal!

After thanking Juu personally for this surprise piece, I later ended up becoming friends with him as well. Hence the reason I do feel more comfortable referring to him as "Juu" rather than Juuzou. Though that didn't happen until much later surprisingly. For the time being, this was just a one off interaction of me waking up and checking out the Hub one day, only to be surprised by a random new Erika drawing!

As for the picture itself, it could technically be classified as a comic actually right? It does have three panels, but the top two are very small and even chibi-like. Does that count as a comic? I suppose only the experts would be able to tell me! Either way though, the idea is simple but still executed fairly well. The picture itself is still a sketch, as Juu had initially made this piece to practice. However, I appreciate that he colored the hair and the pink hearts at least! Heart eyes are actually one of my favorite hypnosis based eyes, up there with Kaa eyes, and empty eyes.

Overall, a simple but still very cute piece. Accentuated by not only the straightforward idea, but also the cute art style that Juu brought to the table for this picture! In the future, he would eventually remake this picture. And initially, I was going to include both the original and the remake in this post even if there was about a three or so year time gap... however the "remake" has a slight altercation in the dialogue to imply that it's not just a remake, but also a sequel funnily enough. So I figured that warranted a new post, but we'll get to that one in the much later future!
