Ah yes here we are with another picture! This one in particular featuring myself being hypnotized by a mysterious floating orb. Helplessly following it as ominous tentacles from the darkness reach out towards me... Actually for those of you who have known me for a very long while might recognize ths particular scenario.
And for those of you who don't, allow me me to elaborate! A long time ago before I was eve invested in hypnosis based artworks of myself, I used to be somewhat of a writer. Nothing really fancy or novel like, but rather very short stories featuring myself hypnotized and taken advantage of. Strangely enough a lot of them also seemed to be tentacle focused... Well I suppose that's something I never grew out of since even now I do love them tentacles!
Anyways though, yes this picture is in fact based off a story I wrote a very long time ago. I still do have the story laying around, and honestly I was considering uploading it to the blog but I decided against it. There really isn't a major reason why I decided against it, more like I could attach it to this post which would make the text portion significantly longer. That or I could post it in a text dump site and link it here. Which I'm just too lazy to set up really.
As for this particular picture though! ... A long time ago I shared that story with a hypnosis artist named Black--Wave. He ended up enjoying the story a lot that it inspired him to make a fan piece of said story. I'm of course very grateful, not only for the drawing but also that someone appreciated something I wrote enough to make some fan art of it. Speaking of floating orbs hypnotizing unsuspecting Erika's though, this particular story seemed to somewhat well liked by people. I say that because somewhere along the line we will see another piece of art that was based off that story!
As a special note about Black--Wave though. He and I had actually met a decent while back. Probably one of the first few people I'd when I joined Deviant Art. In particular I was very interested in this project he was making at the time called "The Hypnodex". It was essentially a Pokemon styled Pokedex type submission that catalogued hypnotists, fictional or otherwise, alongside subs or people around the community. After befriending him he actually added me to said Hypnodex, and we had been friends since! However since the Hypnodex was a flash submission, it is no longer available on the web for me to share, and thus not possible for me to upload to this blog.
So for all intents and purposes, this is the first Erika based drawing submission by Black--Wave! Unfortunately he has since retired from making hypno based art work. However his Deviant Art page and art are still available for our viewing pleasure, which will of course be linked down below! And as a final note the title of this blog post is the title Black--Wave gave this picture on Deviant Art. I just rolled with it because if you haven't noticed by now, I'm pretty awful with titles anyways.
