This picture actually has a similar-esque back story to the previous pictures by HypnoGoat666 by which I mean the creation of this picture was largely due in part to a contest hosted by the original creator. Said original creator went by the name HypnoScythe. I did intentionally use the past tense as unfortunately like many others in these older pictures the original artist seems to have disappeared off the internet...
But to go more into detail about this picture, well I don't remember exactly HOW I came across HypnoScythe's profile but it was rather new at the time of me finding it over on Deviant Art. Besides having one or two original pieces uploaded on the profile (of course they were hypnosis based which in hindsight is probably how I found the profile) I also noticed there was a journal entry stating that HypnoScythe was taking requests.

As I've said before but being the art hungry person that I am I immediately hopped on board and saw what was going on. Upon further inspection however, the requests weren't a "first come, first serve" kind of basis. Rather it was people could list off ideas and whichever ones struck the fancy of the artist would be the ones that were chosen to be created. Up to a cap of five at least.
Needless to say, I pitched the idea of another picture based on myself hypnotized. However unlike most times I did have a specific idea in mind. I wanted to go with something along the lines of a hypnosis based tentacle. You know like the ones with hypno eyes on its stalks. I basically lifted the idea off of another drawing that was my favorite hypnosis based drawing at the time. (Though we will go more into that in an upcoming post, sooner or later...)
And since we are here with this picture existing and being uploaded to my blog it's safe to say that my idea was in fact chosen! Hence my very clever title for this post. I was very happy to see that my idea was picked especially since despite this being a newer profile, a good chunk of other people had happened upon it and also threw their ideas into the lot.

Overall I'd say the drawing came out great! The artist even remembered to stick on that belly button piercing of mine, which is a detail that tends to be forgotten more often than not. On a special note though, I do distinctly remember preferring the original line art over the colored version. Those of you who know me would find that very strange, as I almost always prefer color over not. However, there was just something about having distinct lines I preferred, over the blurry coloring the artist used to accent the muscles on the body and such.
Regardless though I still am happy with the picture, and incredibly grateful that my idea was chosen above some of the other wonderful ideas that other people left. Wherever you are now HypnoScythe, I hope you're doing well!
-Post Publish Note: I dunno why but even though the background of this picture is transparent, it appears as pure white when seen on the blog. I'm not sure how to fix that but if you click on the picture you should see the proper transparent background anyways-
