Hello all! We're back again this week with something rather unique, if I do say so myself! This is a fully animated comic done but the forever awesome Zorro. When I say this is something unique, I do think that animated comics are somewhat of a rarity in the grand scheme of things, but also if my memory serves me right, this is the first and only time (as of April 9th 2023, the time of this post) that Zorro has ever done an animation before. Let's elaborate!
As the release of the 100th hypnotized Erika picture drew closer and closer, Zorro asked me if there was something in particular I wanted for the milestone celebration. To be honest though, I had already planned out what I wanted to be the 100th picture at the time. More details on that when we get to uploading it though! Anyways, I didn't really have any creative juices left to come up with yet another celebratory post. I just kind of casually mentioned that I'd like an animation, since who doesn't like an animation right?

Maybe that was a bit mean of me, since animating is a lot of work. Never the less, Zorro decided to do one for me, and even did more than I expected with it being an animated comic! This apparently took a full weeks work for him to do, which may not sound like a lot based on some other artists you know... but if you recall, Zorro usually released pictures regularly. So taking one week on a piece at the time was definitely unprecedented! In the end, when the picture had been finished and uploaded though, it was the 97th completed Erika picture at the time. Just slightly off the mark! Funnily enough though, this is the 99th blog entry though, so also once again slightly off the mark.
Since the only input I gave for this picture is "Maybe I'd like an animation" the contents of this image were once again done completely by Zorro. Those of you who know me will know that I'm actually not the biggest fan of the whole "hypnotized hypnotist" tag. So it was definitely surprising seeing a whole comic about it! Not that I dislike this image though, it's just not something I'd go out of my way to ask for on my own. Regardless about that though, Zorro did a very interesting job showing off different angles and even included two animated inductions here with the pendulum and the Kaa eyes!
In case you were wondering though, it's not your internet or browser that's acting up and making this image play slowly. As I mentioned before, Zorro has never made an animation before or since. And because of that, there must've been something weird that happened in the creation process to make it run at such a low FPS. I don't know how to fix it, and I wouldn't feel comfortable editing someone else's work anyways. In the end, I still think this a cool picture all things considered, and I can never thank Zorro enough for going so far out of his comfort zone to make this in celebration for reaching my goal!
